About
BeyondVM is a personal blog intended to be about virtualization (mostly VMware related), system administration and the business of IT. I intend to post research that I do into better management of virtualization, as well as things that I learn along the way. I will also post news and information about the industry and the growing case for businesses using virtualization (and how it can fit into any organization). My ultimate goal is to post articles and tutorials that will be interesting to the seasoned professional and that can help people new to virtualization find their way.
A little about me: My name is Ben Thomas, and I am currently based in Colorado, USA. I started with virtualization as a hobby and now am working to make it a career. I am a VMware Certified Professional (VCP #35403) on VI3 and vSphere. I am also working towards the VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) certification. I am also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP #339727) and hold an MCSA Security on Windows 2003 (MCSE on 2003 and MCITP 2008 Coming Soon). I can be found on linkedin and the VMTN Communities as well as the social links to the right.
